The Macclesfield Local Group warmly welcomes new members. You do not have to be a national member or an expert to come along and join any of our activities, as we learn about and enjoy birds and the countryside together. The Macclesfield Local Group has a full programme of indoor meetings and field trips throughout the year. Indoor meetings include quality slide shows by some of the country's best wildlife photographers and experts on various wildlife and environmental topics. The meetings cover many aspects of birdwatching and natural history at home and abroad. Field trips are by car or coach to well known bird watching areas, as well as walks in the local area. These events are always led by an experienced group member. The Group is also involved in conservation work on a local RSPB reserve, and in many fund raising and promotional activities. This web site is designed to give you a taste of these activities. Enhance your knowledge and enjoyment of birds and the countryside, whilst making new friends, by joining in with the activities of The RSPB, Macclesfield Local Group. If you would like
