| 6th Marbury Country Park | 4 bitterns at west end of Budworth Mere in Coward Memorial Reedbed (RC). These birds have been present since mid December. Reports received of lesser spotted woodpecker in Lime Avenue. |
| 9th Redesmere | 5 goosanders (3m and 2f) diving in the only unfrozen bit NE of the main parking area, also shoveler, teal, greylag, GC grebe, cormorant, etc. (MA) |
| 9th Marbury Country Park | Bittern, excellent views in the cut area of reeds, well worth the 50p car park fee. (In the evening four roosted with one of these in a tree with the cormorants). (DT) |
