Fundraising to subsidise our activities
and make them available to all.

Why do we raise money?
The RSPB is a charity where Local Members Groups and Wildlife Explorers Groups are self funded.
Our Leaders are un-funded and un-paid volunteers, committed to helping our children understand more about the environment they will 'all too soon' be responsible for. We believe in carrying out an interesting and varied programme of Indoor and Outdoor activities, that is available to all members of society. By recycling we 'set a good example', and help reduce energy consumption and global warming, and raise funds. To fulfill these aims we need to provide the materials and provisions we use in our activities and we fund these through a range of activities and sponsorships.

What do we do with the money we raise?
We use this money to:
  • keep charges for our Indoor meetings to a minimum
  • provide all Outdoor meetings free
  • print and distribute our Annual Programme
  • provide the materials and provisions we use in our activities.

  • How do we raise the money?
    We raise money by:
  • Seeking sponsorship from local companies
  • Applying for grants
  • Recycling your old inkjet print cartridges and old mobile phones
  • Selling your old CDs, DVDs and computer/console Games
  • Using EASYSEARCH to search the Internet and generate small 'per use' contributions
  • Using EASYFUNDRAISING to do Online Shopping & generate small 'pass through' contributions
