As well as looking back over a year of successful events, members also ended this year’s season with a host of awards.

The RSPB Wildlife Action Awards scheme is all about discovering wildlife, getting involved in practical conservation and informing and inspiring other people. They recognise Wildlife Explorers' enthusiasm for wildlife and the environment.

Gold Award winners Katherine Mayer, Adam Wilson and William Mayer completed more than eighteen activities to qualify.

Throughout the season Wildlife Explorers looked at lots of aspects of natural history and the group has helped with all kinds of practical projects, from helping to build an invertebrate habitat to litter picking and tree planting.
