The Kettleshulme Birdwatch was a great success this year!

Expert birdwatchers in Class 2 amazed the Wildlife Explorer Leaders by spotting Tree sparrows and Redpolls, both first-time entries on the Kettleshulme Big Schools' Birdwatch list.

Later groups added Bullfinch, Robin, Collared dove, Robin, Chaffinch, Blue tit and Great tit.

Some classes also identified some birds by their calls including a Pheasant and a Mistle thrush.

George and Thomas produced these great bird pictures.
Volunteer RSPB Wildlife Explorer Leaders were on hand to explain how to use binoculars
and 'spotting telescope' safely, and help with bird identification.
