In 2012, volunteer leaders from Macclesfield RSPB Wildlife Explorers are again visiting local schools to help with the RSPB's Big Schools’ Birdwatch.

Teachers and Leaders are organising other activities including wildlife walks, making birdfood and craft activities so that everyone learns lots about identifying and caring for our garden birds.
Volunteer RSPB Wildlife Explorer Leaders are on hand at each school to explain how to use binoculars and 'spotting telescope' safely, and help with bird identification.
