Kings School Nature Week
Monday 15th October 2012

King's School Nature Week
Leaders from Macclesfield RSPB Wildlife Explorers visited the
Junior Division at Kings' School to talk to Year 5 about penguins.

First of all the group found about the different roles of the RSPB.
We also learned about how penguins are adapted to the habitats where they live and also about the challenges facing the Northern Rockhopper penguin population on Tristan da Cunha.

Lunch-time nature club was an opportunity
to discuss the Rockhopper Campaign
in more detail.

One of the Nature Club Monitors
dressed in a Rockhopper outfit
so the group could discuss the
special adaptations of Rockhoppers.

Monitors from Wildlife Club will be helping raise funds for our Rockhopper campaign
by selling pin badges throughout Wildlife Week.

Good Luck with Wildlife Week!
