Heritage Walk Conservation
Explorers joined volunteers from Food4Macc and Macclesfield Guild at Heritage Walk for our second official event at the site. Once again our activities were bathed in glorious autumn sunshine.

We planted lots of bedding plants
(including plenty of pretty pansies in flower)
in the borders.

Phoenix and adult volunteers helped with a litter pick to clear rubbish from the site.

Visitors were encouraged to plant native wildflowers and make seed bombs - small missiles of compost and wildflower seed that were then launched into areas that are difficult to access for traditional planting.

Passers-by could also help make various bird feeders including apple feeders,
pine cone feeders and log feeders.

Thank you to Food4Macc (Blog) for all their help organising the morning.
