Marton Nursery

Leaders visited the Nursery class at Marton and District School
to talk about caring for garden birds.

We agreed that birds need food, water, shelter and somewhere safe to build a nest.

We looked at pictures of some of the most common garden birds,
and identified blue tits, blackbirds and house sparrows.

We learned how to use binoculars safely to look at birds.

Children then made pine cone bird feeders to take home for their own garden birds.
