Birds of a Feather

We learned that we can identify birds by looking at different characteristics like size, shape,
colour, beaks, feet and legs as well as considering clues about their behaviour.

Our quiz revealed pictures of birds piece by piece.
Some fantastic correct identifications were made with the tiniest of clues.

The group agreed the important safety rules for using binoculars
and then used them to identify a selection of birds sitting on (or rather pegged to) a washing line!

We made enormous collage birds - a robin and a great tit.

Our meeting was rounded off with a surprise announcement.....
Our group won the RSPB's 2012 RSPB's Youth Club of the Year!

Well done everyone!
